Retained surgical sponge or gossypiboma is a term used to describe retained swab in the body after operation. There are different materials that can be left abdomen during operation such as sponge, artery forceps, scissors, and pieces of broken instrument. Mop most commonly foreign body. Inadvertent retention often requires another operation, increasing morbidity mortality these patients. Despite complications associated with this condition, they rarely published because medicolegal implications. We report case 28-year-old woman who presented on account 9 months history colicky abdominal pain, distention mass following open myomectomy private hospital.
